Default 2004 YZ250 Spark plug Issues

Hi everyone!! I fouled the plug on my bike today, so I took it out and installed another one... But the plug that was in the bike, is a NGK BR8EG(the one mentioned in the manual), but the new plug that I put in is a NGK B9ES... My question is; Is this plug alright for my bike? Or can it damage the motor? Any help will be appreciated!! Thanks!!

No, no problem B9ES is just a colder plug and won't damage anything. You might want to find a B8ES or BR8ES if your not jetted right as the colder B9ES may foul a little faster.

I got one last thing to ask about... I went to buy some new spark plugs, and got some BR8ES's... But I would like to know, what is the difference between the B8ES and the BR8ES?? Also what is the difference with the BR8EG? Thanks alot!!

For what it's worth - most auto parts stores that carry NGK will have the BR8ES and B8ES. I run the B8ES. I buy them by the case for $1.89 a plug and they have a lifetime replacement warranty. I only run them for three or four rides and then replace it - cheap insurance against a burnt-up plug.
