Default 1992 yz250 bogging out

hey guys im new 2 this and just wanted 2 ask some questions i finally bought my self a bike in november a 1992 yz250d wen i first got it it run beautifull it use 2 keep up wif my mates 02 model and about 2 weeks ago it started 2 bog out a bit at high revs and i played wif air screw and didnt change much but i accidently lost the screw then i went and bought one and put it in and then the bike run good again and now its doin the same thing again but worse i can barelly ride it i have no idea wat it is if anyone could help that would b a great help cheer.

Sounds like You have a bad spark plug. Put a new NGK B8ES in it make sure to gap it right. Also make sure your air screw is adjusted . I think it is all the way in and then back it out 1 1/2 turns to start. I had one of those bikes and they are easy to tune.

The air screw will have NOTHING to do with high RPM problems. Nothing.

When was the last time the bike got a new piston and ring? How's the compression?

Is your exhaust pipe crushed?

Is your powervalve assembly working correctly?

What's your air filter look like?

New plug as suggested?

Do you mix your fuel or just guess?

There are quite a few things it could be, as you can see.


(PS - how in the heck do you lose an air screw??? )
