Default 04 yz 125 pipe

Do any of you have a Pro-circuit platnium pipe and r304 shorty silencer on one? What do you think of it? Does the shorty take away top end? Some people tell me that the shorty adds topend and takes bottom away. What about the fatty and shorty? Does the shorty make the bike sound really throat and load? Sorry for all the questions, but I need opinions. Thanks

Generally, I think you would be better of going with a PC/FMF pipe with more standard size silencer. Like the Factory Sound 304 from PC or the PowerCore2 from FMF. The whole packaged will give a sharper more crisper response across the whole rev range.

From then you can alter the gearing to suit your riding and how you want the power to come on. Hope this helps!

i have the FMF fatty with a shorty powercore silencer on my '04 YZ125....its great, your not gonna notice a night and day difference with the package, but it does seem to run more powerful in the bottom to mid range...its a little bit louder but not much....

but if i were to do it again, i woulda gotten the regular sized powercore because the silencer being shorter like that blows the smoke on the inside of the number plate and turns it black from the oil....where as the original sized one sticks out past the number plate and the smoke doesnt touch it.....but i switched to all black plastic so now it doesnt matter to me anymore.....

BTW welcome to the site , i think your the first person ive seen with an '04 YZ125 besides myself....id like to talk some more about some things with you and your take on the bike....
