03 YZ85 jetting question

I have a brand new YZ85 and I need to rejet. Does anyone have an idea where to start? We ride from sea-level to around 3000ft.

howdy, welcome to the site! i hope you stay and post often.

as for the jetting, you can't have jetting that is good for that kind of range. for the sea level, i believe the stock jetting is meant for that. as for sea level, going down two to three sizes on the main and pilot will get you in the ballpark. the main jet can be easily reached by removing the float bowl on the carb. as far as the pilot, i would advise you to NOT ask me because i have no idea how to get to it, let alone change it. i have never had to mess with changing jets, i just fiddle with the air screw. :

your local yammie shop will (should) either help you do it there, show you how while doing it themselves, or give instructions. plus you can get info from the more knowlegable people here on the site.
