03 yz250 motor problems

ok guys i just got this yz and before i can ride it i need a crank, right case, the main shaft that the clutch assembly goes on and a standard piston. these parts can come from a 99 to a 05 to my knowledge if wrong please let me know or if you have some email me at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] i would be interested in buy a whole bottom end thanks the world


the people it came from bew out the crank rod bearings and then towed it behind a truck to free it up that in turn destroyed the shaft by breaking off the teeth which then picked up in the gears and pushed apart breaking the case

Sounds like you have a mess to fix.

Don't be scared to look at buying OEM parts. The price of the case half might be up there, but the internal parts are not really all that bad. A few years ago I repaired an exploded YZ125 tranny and replaced almost every single part in the tranny and shift mechanism for around $800.

E-bay is a good spot to check for the case half but can be a crap shoot. They usually go for about $150 or so for a good case half on E-bay. I think the OEM price is around $425.
