Default '02 Yz 125 Carb Help

Hello-

I am not a moto genius by any means, so excuse my lack of knowledge. I am having an issue with my carb dripping gas from the overflow pipe (the smaller diameter tube of all of them on the bottom of the float bowl) It used to drip here and there, but now it drips constantly after then engine has been running for any period of time. The only way it'll eventually stop is for me to turn off the gas, duh. I ripped the carb apart and tried to clean it the best I could; that did not do it. The float seemed fine and so did all the other parts inside there. My throttle valve was a little knicked in a couple spots and had also lost some of the chrome finish on the bottom edge. Is that an issue? Thanks!!

It is a float sticking problem. I have seen this about a dozen times on the 01 & 02 YZ125's.

I had that problem on my 03 after cleaning the carb. I let it sit for a couple days, tried it again, and there are no more drips and the bike couldn't run any better.

It could be that the float level is too high, causing it to overflow as well.

Yep, gotta agree with everyone else on this.

The fuel leaking out from the tube is from a float level issue.
I would recommend reading and following Faded's useful guide on hot to set your float.

Default Thanks All

I will check my float level and see if I need to make adjustments. Thanks for all the replies and I'll post again after I try and make the fix again.
