00 250 tuning tips

So i bought a standard 250 after 22 years of no mx

the bike is completely standard, what should i do to tune the bike.

I going to use it for fast speeds and mx track.

to be honest if the suspension is stock send it off and get it redone, there's only a few bikes with worth stock suspension than the 00 YZs. As far as gearing goes I'm still stock and that's plenty fast for most sain people. I maybe drop one tooth off the back for more low end snort. First thing I would recommend for you though, ride it for a few hours and then see how it's doing for you. After 22 years you may want to take your time jumping back into the saddle.
