Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but in my opinion, they are a lot of hype, and not worth the extra money.

I think you would get just as good of performance out of a "standard" NGK plug.

Unless there is something I am not aware of with the 2003 KX250????:

iridium is a very dense metalic chemical element found in platinum ores...symbol=Ir Atomic weight 193.1 alloys of Iridium are used in pen points, bearings of watches and spaceships...the electrode is usually much smaller...because it can be...it is a racing plug...IMO if you have a race bike that calls for them-then shell out the bucks...they last a little longer-and they are expensive...Rolex vs Timex...apples to oranges

I've used one in my 250. Was told they were less prone to fouling. It eventually fouled.

I'd just run a standard NGK unless you are a hardcore racer with a deep pocketbook.

Paul,,,glad to see you. You know, I know a very successful guide who wears a Timex on his left wrist, and a Rolex on his right. He says that lots of his clients who pay big bucks to shoot sheep or large bears need to be impressed. Of course, sometimes you need to know what time it really is too.

My nephew hocked half his tools to get three Iridium plugs. He was already calculating his gain in HP based on an article in a motomonthly about how the Arena Cross Champ in 2003 ran them because they increased power from top to bottom etc,,,,He insisted it had to be there,,,just so subtle was the increase that he could not feel it in his KX125.

i run them in my toys, not because i can feel some huge power difference or anything, but only because I prefer to. Just like running 100oct gas. Its all personal preference really. Unless you race, or are in the biz of testing bike products, it makes no diff.
Bottom line, its your toy, put whatever works for you in it.
