Default Semi 2002 RM125 build....

Ok so some of you might have seen my posts about mods and what mods to do. I have broke down and finally decided that I'm just going to put a Wiseco Pro-lite in it and machine the head. I am going to deck the head .010. Depending on if I like what it gives me power wise, I may end up machining the dome of the cylinder head as well. Thus far I have my parts, the engine is out of the bike and I am taking it to Votec with me tomorrow so I can work on it in class. I assume I should have the bike back together and running in a day or two after I get the head back from machine tool. I'm not writing this just to type something up. I think that people would appreciate this and use for information if they choose to do the same thing as I did. That being said I can take a few pictures of the build. I will keep you guys updated after I make some progress tomorrow.

I look forward to hearing how much of a difference that head milling makes!

Hey guys. The bike is back together and running. I lost my camera so I didnt get to take any pics. But basically all i did was take off the head, and the jug. I honed the jug, put the new piston in, put the jug back on a tourqued it after I had it hot tanked, then I put a thin film of playdough on the face of the new piston, put the cylinder head on a tourqued it down, unbolted the head, and then looked at the play dough to see if the piston cam in contact with the head. I then had about .20 of tolerance between the piston and the head, so i only took off .10 the head just to be safe. After a few hour I got the bike all back together and I'm breaking it in... It runs like a raped ape and I havent got it over half throttle yet. if you are wanting to see where on the head I machined, look at the link about shaving and rechambering a head as posted above. So all i have done to my bike is the head is decked .10, and I have a stock bore wiesco forged piston. I believe it is a high compression piston but idk... other than that, the bike is stock. Sorry about the pics... Happy ripping

If you now have .010 of squish it's not gunna run for long. Using playdough for measurement is not accurate. Wish you luck

Hey guys... So I have broke the bike in and I am thinking that I need to run a 50/50 mix with pump gas and race fuel. Or race fuel... Im not sure yet because for the past week I have been on vacation. But the bike is a monster! It's all stock except for a piston, head work, and an FMF Q. I'm thinking about a new sprocket and or reeds but for the moment, its fine by me. The fuel mixture is good. The spark plug always stay nice and chocolate brown. But the fuel seems to be combusting and igniting too easily. But I will figure it out as soon as I get home.
