![]() i just started using maxima b/c my amsoil guy is not able to get me amsoil for $5 a quart anymore - but i got another friend who can get maxima pretty cheap so i have went with that - ever since i changed, my bike smokes pretty bad - it oil smoke - the plug looks great, i think it is that castor burning - has any1 else had this problem - i am thinking of switching to another brand, its not really bad just annoying, and i would hate to be the person behind me too |

![]() Maxima burns really crappy. It protects your piston VERY well, but it does smoke a bit. It always has for me anyway. Same with golden specro. They protect pretty well, but smoke and burn poorly. I prefer Mobile MX2T. |

![]() Amen golden spectro burns like crap! It blows smoke for at least 7 minutes then it only settles a lil bit. Prob has to do with my jettin too. Im going to try and run RED LINE after my top end change! ![]() |

![]() maxima castor927 is all i'll use. If smells good, i've gone through about 6 top ends on it, and they've all lasted respectably long, and were only bad bc of wear. THe piston always looks good and plenty of lube in the cylinder. And no i have not had the problem with smoke, once warm it shows no sign of smoke, not coming out of turns or nothing. |

![]() hay there all you 2 stroke riders ---> left click on your mouse real quick like about 10 times-sounds like you`re riding a two stroke huh?...well if it does sound like your bike when you`re riding it that means you are riding that thing too slow as that`s what it sounds like when a sissy is riding it-ride it like you just stole it and it sounds alot different...ok,i`ll shut up now ![]() Last edited by paul reed; 04-15-2006 at 04:27 AM. |

![]() It's a two stroke, it is supposed to smoke. Sure not like a bug fogger but it is still going to smoke. The only way around that is ride a 4stroke that is not worn out. I have ran all kinds of oil and they all smoke. |

![]() i have had the bike for while and i have rode for a while i do all the work on my bikes myself - i know it is suppose to smoke, all 2 strokes smoke - but it started smoking excessively when i ran the Castor927 in it - i do ride it hard, after i get it real hot, it starts to smoke more - i think it is burning that castor crap - i know it lubes good, but man it burns like crap |
