if i bore my 83 yz80 whould i have to upgrade my crank if so what kind of power increases will I be getting or should I just get a bigger bike?

i say a bigger bike. u will soon out grow that if not already. 125 2 or 4 u will be better off.

yea its just going to be a project once I get a bigger bike,folks want top dollar out here in Washington so its hard

You won't get any noticeable power increase. Even if you bored it as far as you can you only get a few more cc's. It may be time to step up to the next size bike.

Are you boring it to get more power or is the cylinder damaged? If it is damaged, you really should get it re-plated if it has the Nikasil lining (not sure on the 83 models).

As far as the crank is concerned, you will probably have some piston to cylinder head clearance issues and will need to get a thicker base gasket or stack some together.
