Red face copper head gasket not sealing.

got a copper gasket made up for my dt 125. installed it today made sure the block and cylinder head were completely true and clean and degreased. i torqued down in the star formation they recommend and in stages of 6,12,18 until finally 22 nm. also i did anneal the copper 3 times, cleaned an degreased and fitted just prior to torqueing down the head. its still leaking from the combustion chamber to the water jacket and very slightly from the water jacket to the outside edge of the cylinder head. any suggestions?

Get some Permetex copper coat and spray the gasket with 3 light coats and reinstall! Remember to anneal the gasket prior to spraying with copper coat! The oven on high works well for this, just don't let your mom or wife see!
