Default 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke question

Tell me if I am wrong but, Why does it seem that on bikes it takes double the cc's of a 4 stroke to hang with a 2 stroke. ( Like 125 2 stroke Vs. 250 4 stroke ), But on a quad that doesn't seem to be true. Am I wrong on that? I have a 200cc 2 stroke, and it seems that alot of 250 4 strokes have almost that same top speed. I was just curious to know. Anyone know if I am wrong, or is it that the bike 2 strokes are designed different.

Top speed has nothing to do with the comparison, the top speed your quad can achieve is just a matter of gearing, if you changed the transmition relation for speed purposes, its very probable you would beat your friend's 250f's .

I have never been beat by a 250. They just tell me their top speed, and it is close to mine. I was just curious about it.

From what I have noticed the quad's sprockets are geared more towards speed. Big front, small back.

No offense, but the Blaster is a poor excuse for a 2 stroke. It isnt exactly "high performance" For example, a TRX250r, modded to perform to todays standards, will be competitive with a Yfz450. To put it in the most simple explaination, a 2 stroke makes power at twice the frequency of a 4 stroke.
