Default 2-stroke silencer/spark arrester

I'm going to replace the Pro Circuit silencer/spark arrester on my 2001 KX250. It performs ok, but it is extremely difficult to reassemble after repacking. The perforated tube does not engage the mating tube before the front flange enters the oval body. It is then about impossible to get lined up. Anyway, can you recommend a replacement? It should be USFS approved.

Go for the FMF Q, or the turbine core 2

Go Turbine Core II, I use it and it works great. You might have to re-jet a little. Or move your needle 1 position in the carb.

How douse the FMF Turbine Core 2 compare to the stocker? Which is quieter? Did the power characteristics change?
I too am looking for a USFS replacement for the stocker, but I want the same power characteristics and at least as quiet if not more quiet!

I just put an FMF Q on my bike, but have not had a chance to take it out yet.
