Default 1995 KX 250 spark plug photos - what's your opinion?

I have another thread regarding my new-to-me KX 250 that's in decent shape but has been sitting for years. I currently have it torn apart and am doing a new top end. I got some good advice on the other thread, and I appreciate it.

Before the tear down, the bike seemed to run rich or be boggy. It didn't have much hit from the powerband. It wouldn't idle.

I am running 93 octane pump gas, Amsoil Dominator at 36:1 (after this top end rebuild, I will switch to the factory recommended 32:1, after someone set me straight on that).

Here's photos of a plug with about 8 hours of riding on it. What do you think:

Default OK

To me it looks like the jetting is close, but I see what looks like oil deposits. That deposit can be coming from leaking crank seals or too much oil in the premix.

Based on the age of the bike and that it set for some time, I would do a leak down test to make sure the crank seals are holding.

Yeah, that should be more than hot enough to burn off the normal amount of oil. You definitely have a leaking seal or are running pretty rich.

When you say rich, do you mean too much oil in the premix? Or too much fuel?
