Default '04 RM 250 jetting?

went to a 162 main nedj needle 2nd clip. 45 pilot. seems perfect but am getting some black oil residue on the fender. It really seems to run well now. I just think it must be too rch somwhere and I am not sure where? Any suggestions? Thanks, ---Mike

that always happens with my 2 stroker. i think its normal but o well.. ill just see later on

Mike,

Could be the fuel you use. If you're running pump gas or any other gas with a really high (temp wise) distilation curve then you're going to end up with unburnt fuel (and the oil suspended within) exiting the tail pipe. If it feels good it must be, or at least close enough.

I have some race gas to try. It seemslike the residue pretty wet. I am going to try this. If it is better I know the deal. How do you know if the power jet is on? Thanks all, ---Mike

Very true. This is pump race gas. I figured it was worth a try. If not back to the pump 92. seems to work. ---Mike
