Default Finished Pictures-1984 HONDA XR250R.

So after MANY years on this project I have finally concluded this project ( well the build portion anyway ). I am yet to start it and ride it

I present....

If you'd like to catchup on the build you can search for the entire start to finish document here on the forum.

I will be showcasing the bike at the Australian supercross championships in the bike 'museum'/showcase! I'm very excited to my bike at such a large event!

At the supercross eh? that is awesome!

What are you talking about... you haven't started it yet? Dang that must take some serious control...

She is a beauty.

Please get some pictures from the event. I'd love to see it on display.

I didn't get many pictures, but I did take first place in the festival!

I got a quick picture of the track, it's an outdoor setting, pretty awesome!

Congrats Steve. I wouldn't have expected anything less when you look at what
you ended up with. Do you have a "build" book to display with the bike? It
really helps when the judges and the public can see before and during the
resto, gives them some idea at the amount of work required to produce a show
winner.

That's a pretty cool Supercross venue with the covered grandstand. Are the pits
open to the public?

Thanks Don! I would clarify that I won 'best dirt bike' as there were several categories. I had hoped to put a book together for the display, with a bit of a write up and some pictures but I didn't get the chance. Next event I'll be more prepared...

The venue is awesome! It's the Showgrounds in Adelaide with the hills in the background ( not in frame because of the grandstand roof ) great setting for the event! The pits are open for an hour for a meet and greet/autographs etc it was interesting to wander through. Justin brayton did really well ( he is the series leader ) winning by a mile!

As usual. You look nothing like I'd imagined LOL.

Congrats on the win. Gotta be stoked with that.

I had an 84 which I used on the road around the city. I remember really wanting the 84 350.

The track did look good.

Did you restore the bike specifically to enter into events like that? I could really get into something like that.

Haha I would be curious to know what you would e thought I looked like
I restored the bike for show and ocassional ride. Any race day that has a vintage round. I'm planing to do parade laps

If I had a chance I would have done a 350 as well... I think it would be way more interesting....
