 I Went to Splendora Track, Saturday August 8th and ...... Greetings ATM Family & Friends, I went to the Splendora track yesterday afternoon and I met with Dee who manages the track. I am waiting for more information about the race/ride so I will not comment here on that BUT........ There WILL BE AN EVENT FOR THE WEEKEND-WITHOUT A DOUBT and it will be at SPLENDORA MX Park.! Thanks for bearing with me. Plan on attending, as always! The Splendora track is in excellent shape and I mean excellent! They have redone much of the track and it is cool and should be faster and yet safer. They have added many large banked curves, with jumps that I would consider taking. That means they are well designed and a double step up, table top in design. I really like the larger, wider banked corners. There are many of them. The tripple tabletop is stil there but appears smaller. The finish line and tunnel jump area the same. On the other side of the tunnel jump. right hand turn, and then the changes begin. It winds around, and sweeps toward the starting gate area with the rhythem section the same. The track is wider and it does open more area for passing (roosting) whichever you prefer.  The track revision are cool and personally, I like them.They have made an area where they run "hot rod desert type vehicles on the back side along the river area. It is an oval with natural type jump/humps that scrambles type rider may like, but it is a large oval. Not sure if modern day motocrosser would like it. [I do FWIW] In my opinion the new track is faster, safer and there are no "obstacle" that present a do or die situation. The experienced rider will be able to turn some real fast times! | more curves..................less jumps......................sounds like my kind of track. now if I can just get one ole man to just ride around the track............... |

| Yes, good news indeed. I just went to google earth's site and looked at the track. I'm not sure if the picture they have is current but it looks like there is ALOT of changes.  |
