Default Trick to starting after a few Months

Ok, call me stupid, but I let my daughters DRZ125L sit all winter. Going riding this week end, and the thing just won't start. Any tricks out there? I checked the plug, it's good and has spark. Yup, the gas is on, but it's pretty old i'm sure.

Thanks,

It would probably be best if you could drain out all the old gas in the tank and carb. Even though the plug has spark, put in a clean fresh one. A little shot of ether/starting fluid in the airbox/intake might help it fire off quicker. Just don't over-do it, a little goes a long way. Once it fires up play with the throttle or whatever to keep it running until it warms up and will run on its own. Good luck!

Like Kenny said you should probably drain the old gas out, and put new in. And try coast starting it down a hill like alex recommended. If that doent work then use the starting fluid like Kenny recommended.

Thanks guys. I got it to fire, it runs for about a second, then dies. If I try and give it gas it stops instantly. I'll try draining the gas.

If draining the old gas doesn't get it to where it will run without stalling, then you might have to clean your carb and jets. The pilot jet could be plugged up with varnish.
