Well while looking for a new helmet today we decided to start looking for a bike for my wife. She sat on a CRF150 and it fit here pretty well, she could just touch the floor that is. After getting her excited about a bike we decided to head over to the Suzuki dealer too to see if they had anything in comparison. They had a DR125L that seemed the same as far as ergos and was much lighter. The DR weighed in at 180lbs vs the 230 of the CRF. I think the lightness would be really key being she cant lift very much. What I'm wondering though is are they strong enough to pull her around fine? Easy to start? Reliable? Thx in advance. I also liked the price point 1400 dollars less

well i have a klx125l wich is the exact same thing with different plastics all parts are interchangable and everything, and i would say that i wiegh 148 and the bike pulls me around it douse everything that other bikes will do just alot slower, i have done every hill climb my friends on kdx's and crf 230's can do i just dont make it around as much and the suspension bottoms out every once in a wile but i will be upgrading soon to a kdx, o ya and i would go with the ttr if you can find one with similar price, they have alot more upgrades available for them and the front forks are a little soft actually alot soft on the klx/drz Last edited by klxrider3214; 03-05-2006 at 09:44 AM.

If it was me i would go with the honda. It has a bigger gas tank, o-ring chain, and everything was re-vamped this year from the 05 model. From what i've heard, the suspension is better, the motor is better, and everything else works fine. They just didnt like the drum brake in the back. This is all the stuff you get for the extra money. Although having all this, it is not for me or you but your wife. Like you stated earlier, the honda is about 50 pounds heavier which might be hard for your wife. So i woulod go with the suzuki. It is reliable and fun and worth the money.
