2003 dr-z 250 free mods

Well i found out some free mods that i would like your ideas about.

1.) Drill holes in top of air box and i also heard something about removing the snorkle. Well first what a snorkle? lol that may be a very stupid question. Does that sound ok? reason why is becuase mud and water can get very horible as to the point were it does get under the seat and i even notice some gets in throught what i believe the snorkle is(really donbt know what it is lol)

2.) Drill out the end cap just big enuff without damaging the spark arestor. Does this sound like a good idea or should i save up and ditch that big bulky silencer for something smaller and lighter?

3.).......wait this one isnt free, 52 tooth rear sprocket

Dude, what are you doing? Didn't you just get that thumper? Doesn't that bike have enough power for you or have already harnessed it?

Yea i just got it at the beggining of the seoson. Is there something wrong with wanting more torque and such? I know of some people that mod their bikes within the first week, what wrong with me modding it after puting on a hard 160 miles so far.

It's your bike. Go right ahead. I know people who don't even bring it home, they just start doing mods at the dealer. Nothing wrong wit dat.

Anyone have any ideas with the airbox yet? I was thinking with my kinda riding its best to leave it closed.

just rip off the lid...and rejet it...drill the baffle and crap outta the muffler too

This muffler has so many baffles it aint even funny. Also quadracer450, this isnt a quad, it doesnt have an air box lid to take off lol. But do ya really think its safe to take off the lid if a little water/mud gets in the already "sealed" airbox?
