Default offroad riders going in for motocross

wow, i was looking at the official list of entries into the first round of motocross at Glen Helen, and noticed that a handful of off-road riders are joining in! haha! i wonder how they will compare to the pros of the other spectrum (pure track riders) i saw Dietrich, and a handful of other WORCS riders going in... im rooting for em!

Nic....
Some of those "off roaders" have extensive moto cross backgrounds.

Most of the WORCS layouts include MX tracks and the champs at offroad come from MX. If the top factory MX riders choose not to ride the outdoors then the door is open for the racers who have been riding offroad. I say more power to them.

I don't think I'll "surprise" anyone (and I might even get laughed at!), but my first moto-fest this year will be on a bike with barkbusters. Too bad I gots no headlight!

wait wait wait.... i wasn't laughing... it was an excited "haha" i really want to see how some of these guys do! i know alot of them have deep mx backrounds, but they compete in a type of racing and have no rivalries (maybe not the right word) with some of the current mx-ers. so i was just saying that i never noticed this many of them going into one round before, Im thinking that they gotta be pretty dang fast, but i was trying to get a feeler out there of anyone of those riders compete before and how'd they compare...

Yeah he appeared to have the track dialed.I'll be at High Point Saturday and I hope Kawasaki lets him race. It's a great track for someone that rides like that. He'll do well. And it rains up there a lot.Like Bailey said last night he'd kick a$$ in the mud.

Hey Nic......
At the last "Cycle World Motorcycle show" in Long Beach I got to meet Ricky Dietrich. He was with Destry Abbott and stopped to talk to my son and me. I spent a bunch of time thanking him for what he did for the USA in the ISDE last year.
He is a neat young man and I sure was impressed with him and his manners.

Some ISDE info from 08....
At only 20 years old, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ricky Dietrich is one of the most accomplished off-road racers of the year. Fresh off of an astonishing second-overall finish at the International Six Day Enduro, Dietrich sits in the points lead in two national off-road series’ - the World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS) and Maxxis EnduroCross. With one round still remaining in both, he’ll have to battle to clinch the championships, but if there’s one thing Dietrich has showcased in the past, it’s his consistency under pressure. His first WORCS Championship came down to the last round between himself and Zip Ty Racing’s Bobby Garrison, and now the “Ricky Bobby Show” is repeating, only this time with Bobby Bonds

Dietrich had a really good race. That would be awesome if they let him do the two races next week, and he does well. I wonder if they'll keep him instead of Jesseman (filling in for poto) when Ferry comes back. If he keeps up top ten and Jesseman doesnt break top 15 i couldnt see how they could.

Maybe he won't but I'm really thinking Dietrich will defend his Endurocross title. That starts July 25th in Vegas.
