| OK..... I did my first enduro ever on my ktm 105 sx. It was at Red River (that is in Muenster, TX). It was incredibly hard. There were 3 loops for the short track which I attempted to complete. The first loop was a fast ground course with 1 woods section. I completed that with only one fall which was a dirt sample. That loop was pretty easy. I had a 10 min free time before 2nd loop so i rode past the truck to fill back up with gas, and ran off to start again. The second loop was a diffrent story. It 35 miles long with 3 checkpoints. If you have never been to red river then you havent seen deep, loose packed sand. There was 3 long woods sections. The first was pretty fun but the second was death in a bottle. I clipped my right inside knee on a tree while braking. That injury took a bit to get up from. I then finished that wood section and the next one was a peice of cake. After the last wood section on the second loop was a bunch of hill climbs with 2-4 ft ledges that I had no clue on what to do. I somehow did them with the luck of God. I was getting pretty tired around mile 30. At the end of the second loop there is a Gas stop with a 25 min free time. The last 3 or so miles was just straightaways and during those miles I figured out I couldnt stand on my right leg. When i got to the gas stop i filled up and went to my truck with my dad sleeping in the back. I hobbled off the bike and jumped onto my truck. I then realized my knee looked like a grape fruit. I decided to pull out of the race and let the swelling go down before it got worse. We loaded the bike up about an hour later and left to go back home. So overall i think it was ok for my first enduro with a injury. What do yall think? |

Evaluate the causes for hitting the tree with your knee. Kinda like learning from your pain. Congrats on your 1st enduro. Jeeze, I blew up a bike on my 1st enduro. |

| Mine as well, and so your signature says, Motorcycle boots are not all that comfortable for walking. I learned that the hard way broke down out in the middle of the desert. Thank goodness for those sweepers. |

| I rode Muenster a few years back. Must have been a million cedar trees. And yes, there are some tight woods sections! A really fun race and I highly recommend! |
