Funny racing story OK I just read this on D37's website....I can't stop laughing Quote: |
So once in awhile someone posts a funny story about racing desert, riding an enduro or GP, etc. So lets hear some of your funny stories. So let me start it off. Years ago we had a rider in our club that, let say, had one of those heads kinda like bozo, hair on the side, but bald on top. We got the call on the radio that he had gone down just past the bomb and was all goofy, so a group of us went out to get him. Rescue three was there with him when we got their, his helmet was laying to the side, so we talked to him, got him pretty much coherant, and told him we were all going to ride together back to camp. He put his helmet on, started screaming, pulled his helmet back off, and stuck to the bald part of his head was one of those little barrel catuses. I guess it had gotten into his helmet, and when he put it one it squished down right onto his head. Naturally he was blaming us for that, and we all tried not to laugh, but, you cant get a group of desert racers together seeing somthing like this before you have to just bust up. Him standing their, this cactus sticking out of his head, and him yelling at us. The Rescue three guy had to start laughing, and after awhile he decided he needed to do somthing, so he ripped the cactus off the guys head, but it left all the little prickly things sticking out of his head, so he grabbed a pair of pliers and started pulling them out. Now understand how these prickly things work, they go into your skin, but when they hit your skull they turn around and pop back out in a different place. So he is pulling on these, and they are stuck in there so good that each time he pulls, the guys skin streatches about three or four inches until the prickly thing comes out, then whap, the skin slaps back down on the skull. It wasnt really funny for him, but it was hilarious for us. Finally got them all out and we rode back to camp.
