Best day of riding yesterday

As some of you know or might not know, we got a group of guys that ride alot together...well all the time together. We call ourselves CrossThreadedRacing. We have about 4 miles of woods and pasture track here at the house. We have anything from log jumps to single track, to table tops,creek crossings, to camblebacks(small hill staright up and down) in the woods.
Yesterday we decided to play follow the leader....SO MUCH FREAKIN FUN!!!!We put our slowest guy in front to lead...we pushed him forsure! and the rest have to follow and cannot pass him. The fun part is anything goes behind him!I ve never laughed, got passed, passed others, made new lines in all my days.2nd place did not hold 2nd for long....like every other section it was a block pass or a new line was made to get around whomever. We hit one jump 5 across,lol. I learned how to brake check also,lol.....big pile up behind me! I would highly suggest others trying this if you got a closed coarse. The fun factor of not going full blast but still trying to ride for second is what made it so fun. Our leader even wiped out trying to go faster. You could actually hear peopple laughing as we rode over the sound of 4 strokes! We shall talk of this day for a long while.

Yeah, man....that's what it's all about! You know it's been a good day, when you hurt more from laughing...than from riding. Anymore, when I go trail riding or playriding...a digital camera is an integral part of my gear.

That's always a good day of riding and I'll take that over racing any day. We used to do that all the time but it was more along the lines of who could roost who the most. We would come around a corner and someone would be there stopped and just dump the clutch while in the deep sand. You would get covered by a wall of sand or mud. We laughed until we cried and that made us want to get back out and do it again.

My favorite is the "Poseidon Adventure".....let a buddy ahead of you get started into a huuuuge puddle, then you & another guy blast through on either side of 'im, sandwiching him between 2 walls of muck! Now that's good, clean fun.

sounds like same thing we do.. I had to ride today alone....Altho I met some people thur that let me ride with them. I haven't rode in weeks, first I broke ribs and then bike blew head gasket and Honda had it back for many weeks..

I'm geting older and find riding still one major joy of my life. I'm also glad to have found a site like this one to help in riding tips..oh and share funny stories...
