With today's gas prices we all need all the help we can get towards better gas mileage. Did you know with Amsoil's line of synthetic oils we can help get you up to 5% better mileage from your vehicle with extended engine life due to superior protection along with extended drain intervals. You could sign up as a preferred customer buy all your oils and filters at wholesale cost. This will save a lot of money on the cost or your oil. Then you could be enjoying a huge savings with the 25,000 mile guarantee and our extended drain intervals. If you use Amsoil's oil filters in conjunction with Amsoil's 100% full synthetic oils we guarantee you 25,000 miles between oil changes under normal conditions 15,000 under severe conditions such as towing, burning rubber all the time, stop & go traffic every day etc. That is a lot of money saved in oil changes. Now is a great time to sign up and change the oils in your personal vehicles, motorhomes, recreational and race vehicles. If you have any questions on Amsoil's 25,000 mile drain interval guarantee or the preferred customer program give me a call or shoot me an email and I can help answer your questions. Ask me about our 100,000 mile or 4 year service life air filters for cars & trucks. Thank You, Dane Evans Independent Amsoil Dealer (805) 231-8344 Cell [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Hey Dane, I'm curious what the cost per mile is for the Amsoil vs other synthetics. At 25K miles between oil changes, it's got to be pretty low! I think many people don't take the cost per mile into consideration when choosing an oil/filter. Thanks!

I think the last time I checked the high mileage amsoil, in every case, would save you money, especially if you always use synthetic. Err or was that for the amount of miles I put on my truck?

Even if you take severe service at 15K miles for a guy who changes his oil every 5K you can save two oil changes. That money goes right into your pocket. That doesn't take into account the savings in fuel from the apprx. 5% better fuel mileage over conventional oil. Lower operating temps mean more Hp which means a more efficent running engine. Its small here and there but it adds up at the end of the year. 94.00 in oil changes saved, 26.00 in air filters saved per year. Longer engine life over conventional oil due to better protection. Priceless!

I thought maybe Amsoil had a comparison chart or something.

There are some charts we have but they only show you how much money you save over a years time by having extented drain intervals on your oil changes. They also don't take into account the savings on mpgs for using a synthetic over a conventioanl oil. There are many savings to be had by using synthetic and more by using Amsoil. Especially for those of you in very cold weather climates. |

Actually, if they used the same controls, they would be comparing apples to apples and it would be easy to create a baseline. For example, take three identical vehicles, one with Amsoil, one with a leading synthetic and another with your favorite conventional oil. Run each vehicle for the same number of miles in a year, say 25,000. Total up the cost of the oil, filters, changes, fuel etc and then divide by 25,000 miles and you would have your per mile cost. (as long as all the vehicles were driven in the same way and same conditions) I'm surprised Amsoil doesn't have similar data to show that TCO of your vehicle would be significantly less using their products. Especially with the price of fuel today! (not to mention tomorrow!)
