Keywords: muscle car, mopar, a-body, dart, duster, hot rod -

Those are certainly terms I think of when looking at a Scamp.

I'm no collector but this thing is about as original as they come. The interior is primo, no rust anywhere and it runs great, save for the exhaust tick. I drove it daily for a month straight and averaged 22 mpg. Plus I really enjoyed listening to the AM rock station on the stock Solid State.

Ok, I'll get him the info. It is a friend of mine who I went to school with and has a business that does restos and custom street rods. He has some nice pieces that have made the covers of Super Chevy magazine. He is a HUGE fan of early 70's restos.

I'm going to bump this one just in case anyone knows someone who might be interested. The ol' Scamperoo is on Ebay now and getting quite a bit of attention. Get after it y'all!

Good luck with the auction. I had a 71 Scamp as a toy when I "retired" from riding. 318 (never knew for sure what was in the engine, but it would out-drag 5.0 Stangs!), black laquer, Duster grill, w/blue bumble bee stripe and Cragars. Wish I still had it!

Obviously you are not a car guy. While it may have been, and still is, an old lady ride, with some minor changes it would be a bad *** machine.

Here's one that is pretty much the same car other than the motor, wheels and color...

Yeah, you know everything about me. You are the utmost car guy I've ever seen. You've got an old grocery getter inline 6, and you think it's cool. It's awful green to boot. Even there the was a few Darts that were cool from the factory, I don't think yours qualifies. Even though Mopar was a holdout, the power output for most cars was on the decline, except for the little cars like yours. Those cars already didn't put much power out to begin with.
Your car might be competitive with a Pinto or a Vega.
Sorry your car is neither show or go, even with your 'minor' changes.
Although if you powered the car with your ego, it would fly.
