I *think* i have a problem!

OK, well, I just got a new stater put in my 2007 KX250F, and it runs great now. EXCEPT, I was at a race in Portales, NM, at Dixon MX, and any time I would hit a straight, (which i normally run in top 3rd or bottom 4th) I would wrap 2nd out and shift to 3rd, but that would make no difference. The RPM's would stay exactly the same. And this happened each time so no i dont just suck at shifting loll, the RPM's wouldnt change until i hit 4th gear, so then i was bogging everywhere and it just messed me all up!

I took it to my mechanic and he says I'm just paranoid, but i know that SOMETHING has to be goin on, hmmmmm.

Sounds like it's skipping 3rd gear. If the RPM's are staying the same, it's not shifting. Could be a bent are worn shift fork. Will it shift all the way throu every gear at normal riding?
