The KX is the first 2009 450 I've seen unveiled. I'm not a KX fan but thought I'd post for you green fans.(Pete)

dirt rider spy shots showed a black swingarm, kinda disappointed they left that out.

I'm not. Black on a swingarm would get all messed up in short order. It wouldn't look good for very long. It's amazing what you manage to hit with the swingarm.

Jedi and Woddy, you don't know what your missing wow! there is some substantial changes to both those bikes I can't wait to see what that 250f goes like the 08 is a fast bike, but that 09 sounds like it will be a rocket There's so much to digest here, i need to study all this a little more

You know what, the only reason I don't consider buying a KXF (besides the fact that I have a great RMZ) is because the ergo's are funny. They always feel like I'm riding a chopper. Front end high, rear end low. It's too weird for me to even want to get used to.

I know they are great bikes, just not for me.

Here is another link showing more detailed spec's on measurements etc. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] A few things that i like about the Kwak'a, is the seat height is 1 inch lower than the yamaha 09 in 250f's, which is good for my boy. And the fork coatings that they use, seem to be real good for your fork seals. We had that coating put on our 08 models and we have not done a seal, or even had one leak with grit. That's 9 months of hard racing with plenty of sand riding. Just when i thought yamaha had addressed all their pitfalls in the 250f with the release of their 09 model, Kawasaki comes out with what sounds like one awesome race bike, can't wait to see one and test it!

IF i was riding 250F's and If I could get used to or fix the ride of the kx250f, that would be my bike of choice for sure.
