Anyone have a new Kawasaki 450?

I have read a lot of good reports on the New Kawasaki 450. Does anyone have one yet? If so, how is it? I am toying around with the idea of getting a 450 thumper and the new Kawasaki sounds really interesting!

Damn! That sounds like it is a really sweet bike. I guess the old adage is true...good things come to those who wait! Bad part about this is there are no Kawi dealers close by!

What stinks about a new bike that good is dealers don't want to give you any breaks on it.

Yep...got one under the Christmas tree. Too bad it's too wet and too cold to ride it! I'm dieing to get out and ride.

Sure they will, threaten them that the Honda dealer will give you an 06CRF450 cheaper lol!! Worked for me.

Yep, love it so far. Got it 12/30/05 but only have 4 rides on it. I was looking at an 05 Honda 450 but my buddy got one for Christmas and I wanted something different than him, not sure why but just because I suppose. Also read Croggs review and several others that had owned Honda's and switched to the Kawi. Honestly, I think I would have been happy on the Honda or the Kawi or Suzuki or Yamaha for that matter because they all have more power than I use at this point and I'll never ride to the level they are capable of. I am coming off an 01 WR426 and a 98 KX500 before that. I can tell you this bike is worlds ahead of those two but so are all the 06's. Between the Honda and the Kawi, I really wanted to try the 4 speed tranny because less shifting to me seems better. If I have to change gearing more between trail, track, and dunes, so be it but I doubt I will. I ride pretty mellow for the most part and spend more time less than half throttle than above except at the dunes.
