Default 2008 KX450F mods

What do you guys recommend to improve the 2008 KX450F. I ride mostly sand and intermediate tracks. Is the front tire junk? Should I get the PC linkage? Gearing?

This is my first 4 stroke. I'm comming off of a 2006 YZ250.

Thanks in advance.

I would say throw some new rubber on it, pipe it, jet it, cam it, new bars and asv levers, hinson clutch or rekluse, boyesen water pump. The list goes on and on man, what are you looking to get out of it, more performance, better handling?

Right on, you go up to Baja much? I haven't been up that way in years but I plan on hitting it a few times this year.

Welcome to Baja MX!

I mean it when I say come down anytime, we ride alot.

If you go to log road I am sure we bumped into each other at least once. What class do you normally ride?

Novice and C class. Novice until I crashed and shattered my collar bone, then I rode a few times in C or Squid class.

Greetings! i see your a man of good taste, you have just purchased one fine piece of machinery there i can confirm that, having seen the light and injected my veins with green instead of boring blue So what do you do to the best bike on the market!
throw away the Dunlop 739 front and replace it with a D756 and a D952 is good on the back when you wear out whats on there. Other than that there's not a lot else you would need to change, except you can run a different flywheel to smooth the power out without loosing any speed. All in all they just go hard and turn awesome

Thanks. Can't wait to ride.
BTW, the stock front tire is a Dunlop 742F. I think I'm getting a 756.
