The first thing that pops into my mind is 450r or yfz but I don't if she could handle that......I don't know how you feel on getting used quads but the kawasaki mojave 250 we have does great for begginer/play. I hear that the people that road the raptor 250 to the mojave prefered the mojave by far but I've never ridden the raptor 250 and the newer engine technoligy might be better Ya'll thought of a honda 250r?

we are looking for a 4 stroke. It's pretty much between a honda 400ex or a yamaha 350 raptor. Not too much power but enough for her to grow into. i like those two also because they are simple, reliable air cooled engines. My daughter has zero experience on a sport quad so I don't want her on a 450, 250r, banshee, etc. If she really gets into sport riding we would consider a higher performance machine at that time. I think that it easier to go faster on a fourwheeler and get in over your head quick. On a dirt bike you are pretty mcuh kept in check by your skill level.

400ex or raptor 350 id go 400 ex better handleing reliable better suspension easy maintanance both quads are easy to work onhave a nice ride and the throttle isnt "snappy" the 350s come in a holearray of colors if you go that route you could find a 400ex pretty cheap a 350 might run you a lil more either way u wont be dissapointed lemme know if you need help id be more than happy

I wouldn't consider a 450. Too easy to get killed on. I consider myself a pretty good rider and it was more than enough for me. I raced Intermediate quad class. The 300EX would be a good choice or the Raptor 350. The problem with those quads is you don't get the suspension travel you need if she's riding track. The 400's have a lot of power, but if you're daughter is experienced, I think she'll be fine and the suspension is waaaaaaay better than the smaller quads. I would look at the KFX/LTZ/DVX 400 as well as the 400EX, as they had reverse in the earlier years, were lighter and a little better suspended in my opinion. Good Luck!!

Hmm I don't like bein a post whore but, I've always been Yamaha biased, and still am. I owned a raptor 350 and last time I went riding we rented my brother a 06 400ex to ride, the 400 may have had slightly more power than my 350 had but not enough that I could notice. The raptor also has many more mods and aftermarket stuff that you can throw on once she gets better at riding. One of my friends up here has a 350 that could blow away the 400 and keep up with the 450's. He cammed it, higher comp. piston, exhaust and airbox mods. That quad amazed me for a 350. The 400ex might have more suspension travel but I don't think she will need it since shes probably around 115 or lighter. I could air out my 350 and im borderline fat as heck
