 KTM Pro Junior? Daniel and I are thinking of moving John from the ttr50 to a KTM. Yes, I realize the little things are hard on the pocket book, but I really don't see him progressing much more on the ttr. Anyway, I've been checking out craigslist and found an '03 ktm Pro Jr for $899. I'm not even sure it's still available, but this seems like a reasonable price, assuming it's been taken care of. Anyone have any experience with these bikes? I'm up for the maintanence on them and I think the Pro Sr might scare the crap out of him. He's not an aggressive rider by any means. Thoughts? Opinions?               |

| Re: KTM Pro Junior? They do require some attention........ but they are worth it! Plus they sound way better than a ttr. Once he gets used to he will love the power. If he is not aggresive keeping him on a ttr or any trail suited mellow bike will allow him to remain non-aggresive, something with a little snap may bring out the animal in him.......... or not. |

| Re: KTM Pro Junior? Yeah, that's the dilema alright.... keep him comfortable or put him on the ktm and hope it doesn't scare him off riding altogether? I think it might intimidate him a little to begin with, but I think eventually he'd like it. Man, I don't know.  Does that sound like a reasonable price on that bike? |

| Re: KTM Pro Junior? Ive had the Pro Jr since 03 I believe. Its been thru 2 boys and other than a clutch change, piston and rings, its pretty much been problem free. Contrary to whats on the net. Ive also had to replace the plastic float bowl twice-it hits the chain on big jumps as the kids get bigger. |

I have no idea what prices they are bringing in your area, bikes or pretty much anything for that matter are always way higher here compared to yank markets even when our dollar is higher. |
