Default KTM 50 Pro Senior Questions

Ok, I know there is KTM talk, and I plan on using it too, but I want to start with people I know and trust, and that's you guys.

1. How much race sag do you run on these things? I looked at the manual and it tells you min. free sag, but nothing about race sag.

2. What is the best ratio to mix the oil/gas. Manual says 40:1, what does everyone in the real world mix at and what oil do you use?

3. What do I need to watch for? IE problem areas?

4. What is the best tranny oil to use in these bikes? I know the clutches are tempermental, so any advise will be well recieved.

Welcome to the MONEY PIT! But you knew that.

KTM Talk will be your best friend. Do the Mini specific forums and you will be set. For parts they have a cool "get a quote" system where the dealers will bid for your business. There are a few really good KTM dealers (and a lot of crappy ones). Read the dealer feedback forum and you'll know who to stay away from.

BTW, KTM Talk is based in Houston and run by Pat Forbes who was one of the driving forces behind the first GMB. Really good guy and a computer genius.

Nice job Big M!! Ive owned mini KTMs since 03 and have spent MANY nights searching KTMtalk for various info. Wading thru the MANY opinions and advices and drawing my own conclusions as to who to believe. Jim, this is in PDF so download it, read it, and refer to it as necessary. The info within is taken from some of the most knowlegeable people on the site, good stuff!
