Default 08 CRF50

So a local Honda/KTM/Suzuki/Kawi dealer is giving away 19 - 2008 CRF50's Starting today until christmas eve. The only catch is you have to be there at the time of the drawing to win and donate canned food to the food bank. So today my dad, stepmom and step sister get into town for the weekend. I had planned on wanting to go so I could have my chance at winning one of the bikes. So we stop by before heading out to dinner, I had prergistered online and my wife had reregistered me while I ran next door to buy some canned food. They handed out the tickets and read all the numbers but the last one. There was around 70 people or so there. The 10 people who were waiting for the last number were asked to step forward as everyone stepped forward. With my son on my shoulders I stepped forward as did my dad and stepmom. He called out the last number and I could not believe it, it was mine......................then he said that it wasn't it............I was soooooo bummed. he started calling off the rest of the number that weren't it til it was down to two folks. It was down to my dad and one other guy. My dad being from Idaho coming to visit for the weekend, gets talked into going to a motorcycle shop to see about winning a lil 50............and scored a good deal on new plastic for his bike ended up having the winning ticket for the first day of the give away. So $110 later for titling fees we will be picking up the bike tomorrow. He was planning on taking it home with him until my son and nephew were big enough to ride it, and then bring it back down for them..........well my step mom said no to that and it will be staying in my garage. So now it is time for me to break it in and make sure it is running well for him when that day comes [], then get the training wheels. Gonna have tog et the white plastic so it will match both my wifes bike and mine.

Here is a video I took with my cell phone right after my dad won the bike, the quality is not the greatest. My nephew was the first to get to the bike so my son is on the back.

Got the bike at home and Grandpa had to take the lil man out for his first ride on the bike. I then took him out for another spin. At first he wanted nothing to the with the bike when it was running, but he was hootin and a hollarin once he got going, then it was nap time which he didnt like so much.

Here is a pic of My son on the front, my nephew on the back and my dad after getting the bike home and taking him for a ride. He has to share the bike with my nephew, but I don't know if he will be riding it much, since my brother quit riding after breaking his leg about 15 years ago. My son's birthday is in two weeks, so its kind of a cool birthday present.
