Sara Lipert - Miss Supercross 2008

For those of you who weren't at GMB or for some reason did not get to meet Sara, you really missed out. She is a class act with a very genuine heart. Thank you for attending Sara, it was great meeting you and great riding with you. I really hope you enjoyed the weekend.

I'll second what Char said, I got to talk with Sara for a few minutes & she was very down to earth.

My two girls got to take a pic with her Sunday..........they were amazed!!!!!!They came back like OH MY GOSH dADDY...SHE IS PRETTY! I think they thought she would have alot of scars like Robbie R. They told me she race bikes too! Sara took the time to chat with them. The girl has more than her pretty face going for her..........she is the totally package of a class act. There is something about dirtbike parents!!!!

Sara was awesome, very nice and easy to talk to. She made my son and daughters day by giving them signed pics and taking pictures with them. We are looking forward to seeing her again at Houston SX.

Thank you to all of you, for welcoming Sara. She had a great time, and I know she'll be posting to you. This was an awesome experience for her, thank you Deb and Dane for the invitiation and for being her family while she was there. I have people asking me how they can have a name included on the list? You missed her discussion on all her scars? She has some good ones Mark.

Sara is a WONDERFUL girl. Truly the product of fantastic parents. Those that were expecting a "beauty queen" were pleasantly surprised. Sara had no problem getting dirty & changing in the trailer (even if I was a bad lookout on door duty-oops Sara-at least it was just Robert). Thank goodness she has such a great sense of humor, she had to put up with the middle seat between Robert & I all the way home!

With Paul & Sue for parents, Sara had no choice but to turn out the way she is.

With her father not there, Dane was her surrogate father / protector. Although, it is very obvious Sara can really take care of herself!

I was waiting for someone to start a thread about Sara.
I noticed Friday night that she wasn't getting a lot of attention. This didn't seem to bother her one bit. We're all just Joe Schmoe's (and Jane Schmoe's) so Sara really stood out with her beauty. I think several folks had a question about whether or not she actually knew anything about dirt biking. Those questions would be answered.
We didn't get to ride much on Saturday due to the weather but Sara was hanging out and always smiling. She tolerated lots of questions and was always willing to have her photograph taken. I was able to visit with her and Dave Wysong from RiderDown Saturday night and was encouraged by the mutual interest in helping fallen riders.
Sunday brought the opportunity to ride and I actually got to ride with Sara. I got to the track a little late and went straight to the entrance to relieve Char and Wobbie. I stayed there until the only practice left was the women's. Wobbie came back just in time for me to throw on my gear and get to the start. I found myself riding behind Sara for the first lap. Let me tell you, the track was NASTY! VERY SLICK! Lots of sloppy corners and it was tough to hold your line. I was impressed with Sara's ability to handle a bike. I made my way around her on the second lap but it wasn't a piece of cake or anything. I had to wait for the right time. The girl can ride. She roosted me pretty good before I got around her so I asked her to hold my goggles while I snapped a pic. She definitely fits in with the ATM crowd. She was very gracious and never even blinked at holding my nasty goggles.

I'm not forsure but..................I think Miss Supercross might have sharted alittle bit on the finish line jump................................The lip on the face kicked her a bit and she did a nose wheelie all the way to the bottom of it ..........then......right back on the gas.

She did that little nose down trick right in front of us and pulled it out like a pro. She's a sweatheart and her parents should be proud. Thanks for coming Sara.

I totally agree! She was so much fun to be around! She even let my boys kiss on her!


As far as riding goes,
I chased her the entire first moto, and it was work. I ate her roost the entire time!! I had grit in my teeth for hours after the race. It was a great race pace for me, and very challenging.

I sure hope to see her next year!!
