| Sara was great wasn't she... She really did an awesome job help with the auction too. It's funny to watch some of the riders as they came up to look at the items before being auction offed and for some reason they with right straight to the calender with her picture in it first. |

It was our pleasure to meet Sara this past weekend. She is a 1st class act and has more character, depth and wisdom than many far older than she. I very much enjoyed meeting and talking with her and I appreciate her support of the Garrett Berg Remembering Those Who Rode Memorial Race. I hope that what ever Sara took from this annual event will have a special place in her heart that will last her a life time. It is very clear that she was raise in a loving and caring family. As far as the "List" goes it is already too long, but I also know it will sadly grow. The "List" had to have a starting point, I only wish it had an ending point. I will be honored to add names of "Those Who Rode" to the "List." The date we begin with is the date of the first name already on the list - November 10, 2001 - it is simply when "I became aware of people dying - doing what we all love to do - ride." When a parent looses a child it tears at my heart because I know exactly how it feels. Most of the names on this "List" died off-road riding, some were street deaths. Some were killed senslessly by drunk drivers enroute to ride. The fact is that "they rode" and had a passion for what draws us all together. Death knows no boundaries and the pain and loss know no boundaries. The purpose of the "List" is to "Remember Those Who Rode." If I missed a name falling after this date it is simply because I was not aware of them. People can PM me with there requests and the date of passing. I look forward to meeting you and your husband some day. If I may be of some assistance, please feel free to contact me. I will PM you with my cell phone number. | Wow....not only were tears brought to my eyes (again!) after reading all the posts but I have been affected in so many ways after meeting all of you at the race. Everyone that i came in contact with touched my heart in a very unique way...from Char's hug and kind words after I came down from the platform area, to the look in Mike's eyes when he asked me to read the names of the riders. Not only was i lucky enough to meet people with such open arms , but I also made friends that I look forward to seeing again next year and years following. This experience would touch anyones heart and I will happily speak loud and clear about how much it meant to me and hopefully expand the interest of others to attend at the next years event. Thank you, thank you , thank you for allowing me to be a part of the race and for being so welcoming. Also another big thank you to Mike & Suzette Berg for the generous hospitality and warmth you guys gave inviting us into your home. A big thank you also to Howard and his lovely wife for the "taste of Texas" meal...wooh, the tri tip was a hit! My heart goes out to all the riders that we lost and the families that spend everyday with aches in their hearts, that I can hardly bare to imagine. The strength and courage that comes with the aches makes you not only an inspiration for everyone to appreciate every ounce of life they have, but also to remind us of the blessings that should be recognized day in and day out. I want to also express my gratitude towards Dane and Debbie for inviting me to the event and putting their faith in me to open my eyes to be able to experience the event as they do. You have the biggest hearts (and great sense of humor!) and are definately family to me I look forward to seeing everyone that can make it to the Supercross races. Please come by and say hi! I would love to see you! xoxo p.s. yes, my parents are....well....the word AMAZING is an understatement |

| Wow! Youre an amazing person. You are everything Dane and Deb promised us and more. It was truly an honor to have you amongst us. To witness your sincerity as you read off the names on "the list", removed any and all notions of the stereotypical beauty queen thoughts from my head. Im ashamed to admit that I expected you to ask for like, world peace and like um, really cool shoes for the homeless, when you were asked to step up and speak. Thank you for proving that theres still a chance with the next generation. Enjoy this upcoming season and make sure people get to witness and hear the real you so that their stereotypes can be dismissed, the same way mine were. |

| Sara, I'm so glad you came! You fit right into the cast of characters that we call our traveling circus. I am always the only girl in that road-show so once I saw that after knowing Robert for 10 minutes, you could give it right back to him, I knew it would be a great weekend. You didn't even ask to go home after you had breakfast with Ernie AND you put up with Jack all weekend. You were a very welcome change and it was good to get to know you better. I already told your mom we want them to come with us next year so hopefully that will work out. Minivan power rocks! xo, Deb |
