Regrettably I missed the passing out of name tags, but thanks to all of you, I shall remember as well. Great idea Macho, I think it needs to become part of the annual process.

awww I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my face..........the name tags are a great idea & to see Brett & Brandon together made the pic even more special! I hope you don't mind but I copied the pic to give to Brett's parents.

Sincerely,

Remembering those who rode is such an AWESOME cause.

I tried to post this reply the night before last and lost it crying at the monitor.

Last Saturday night when I was moving the WR from the back corner of the garage where it's sat since the GMB memorial race two years ago it hit me hard. I instantly remembered the weekend we lost both Garrett Berg and James Hinson. Although it had been 5 plus years I felt it like it was the day before yesterday.

My son was 20, the twins were 13 and my baby (Stephanie) was 8. We always rode together with Dad for his quality time with the kids. We heard about James during the Saturday night race at 3 Palms, and after our Sunday afternoon ride I read about Garrett's accident on ThumperTalk. Thinking about the moment we had riding together and how special our children are to me it floored me. I was overcome with emotion. I can never ever imagine giving up one of mine to the sport.
I'm certain that it's equally hard whether it's a mother, father, sister, brother, or any friend or family member.

What Michael and the other members of his band of brothers for "Those Who Rode" have done is incredibly AWESOME!!! You guys and girls are the greatest.

Although my kids are older now and the quality time with Dad has become less and less, I look forward to our rides and could never imagine not having them. Or even worse, having the ride without one of them.

My heart and soul go out to each and every one of y'all that have to ride without your loved ones.

May God bless you with the strength to enjoy your rides to the fullest while remembering the best moments of y'alls time together riding and as a family.

See ya,
Kelly

Thank Kelly for posting this. It was GREAT to see you again this year and I appreciate your support and willingness to share. Please give my regards to the family and give Alicea a hug for me. You have a special family.

Although I didn't get any photos of my chest protector, I rode with both of my friends names attached to me. Dave Stephens and Don Glover were my long time friends. Both of those men, and the joy they brought to the SoCal moto community, are missed. Godspeed fellas, someday we will see each other again.
