I really have to share this with ya'll, mostly because it was so dang funny and I think really caught everyone off guard.
After the races on Sunday, we went to Saltgrass Steakhouse with Ernie, Dane, Deb, Jack, Sara, Robert, Kevin, Tracy and my mom. Those that were flying back had to bug out a bit early, but we still had fun visiting, laughing and talking about the weekend.
The best part of the evening for me, though, was when Ernie passed the rest of his salad to Anna. She'd been picking off mine, but I wasn't sharing.

She took one bite and leaned over to ask me what kind of dressing it was, when she found out it was honey mustard, she quickly passed the salad back. Ernie was just slightly upset...ok, maybe not really, but the two of us laid it on pretty thick trying to make Anna think he was. Even went to the point of telling her she'd hurt E's feelers and he was gonna cry, to which she responded, "I really don't think I care." Of course, I busted out laughing, Dane high-fived her and told E he'd just been burned. I have to admit, Anna looked quite proud of herself. E told me it was obvious who's daughter she was...and ya know, I'm danged proud!!!!
I guess what made it really funny is that Anna is generally a fairly reserved kid. But she has her moments, and she obviously likes Ernie. Just like the rest of us.
