Please excuse the quality here because I wanted to hurry up and post these in praise of all the hard work that was done to the track. The "real" pics should be ready tonight sometime, but I thought Id give everyone an idea as to what the Splendora crew, along with a few ATMers, got accomplished on Saturday. To the best of my recollection, Boyd, Dave(Prag) and Lawdog busted major butt to get the track to where it was on Sunday. A MAJOR accomplishment by any measure of the word. Thank you everyone that made it possible...and thank you G.M.B. for holding off that rain till the last moto was completed. I can see that youre even making things happen upstairs! If I missed anyone's effort please add yourself to this list because you def need to be commended.

Dittos there too! The "thing" that AMAZED ME the most is as follows: Saturday some folks were of dismal spirits about the tracking being able to be raced on and that was understandably so. My posture in regards to the GMB - Remembering Those Who Rode Memorial Race is to let "G_d be G_d!" The Omniscience, Omnipotence and Omnipresence of the Almighty knows and will take care of those things that need to be taken care of. He knows the "hearts" of the people involved in this magnificent event and the intentions of literally everyone involved. The decision to ride on Sunday was placed exclusively on the shoulder of Vintage Dave and Howard. No doubt we took into consideration what Dee said about the track conditions. The SAFETY of the Riders was the and will always remain our first concern. After the 1st practice and Race Moto's the track was in GREAT shape, especially when considering the rain that fell. For those who were there it was not 1 minute after the last rider left the track after the last moto the ATM/TT Moto that it began to rain. Now, the rain only fell for about 2. minutes. In my opinion it was the Almighty saying something along the lines "for all you doubters out there just know it was Me who kept it from raining." I suspect there were many from the "List" who looked down from the heavenly realm and were smiling on those who were "Remembering Those Who Rode." The rain stopped and everyone was allowed to say the "good bye's" in a leisurely fashion, some of us down right slowly. Just my opinion.

That's Right!!!!! That "mud pit" was what was started from, yet we raced and had a GREAT day on Sunday. The skies were held and controlled as this event took place.

Oh man! Thanks for sharing those pics, Doc. I found Joe and shook his hand before leaving Sunday. I thanked him for all his hard work. Now I see just how hard he really did work!

Show off! Looking at the first pics of the track and riding around in the Kubota 4x4 on Saturday, it is just amazing what was done with the little time they had to get it in shape. Melissa and I were just trying to see the track and couldn't even get the 4x4 kubota up the jump face on the rythem section! We had help from above making it race worthy.

It was weird. I got my Leatt two days before that race. I'm not one that typically crashes (in fact I can't remember the last time I had a big crash), and I prayed before the race, in that picture as a matter of fact, that any fall that my Leatt would allow me to survive, that another could not -- I wanted to take. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have broken my neck or died in either of my crashes... But they were both really pretty nasty. I have a sore neck and came away with a concussion, and, needless to say, a really bad headache. I actually saw that my helmet has a fat crack in it when I was cleaning it.
