I agree with this comment. The "experts" have proven that the alumminum frames have come a long way with rigidity and prevents the bike from twisting.

But if two stroke is your thang, I would look into a KTM. Very stong chassis with molybdendum and very stong motor.

Dude, KTM has its own way of everything, parts are normally a little more, used to be harder to find, but that has seemed to go away, but if i was put in that choice, i would be getting orange riding gear, i have rode may of them, and the bike fitts me like a glove, good power good cornering and just a good bike.

Yep 2004 KX250 I'm putting some new rear wheel bearings in it and haven't gotten to ride it yet because I had to replace some spokes that were broken. Like I said it needs some work. When I was taking the bearings out a circlip came out and I tried bending it back and I busted. Would it be okay to put the circlip back in? Your thoughts.

You might as well just get a new circlip. I think it costs about $0.75, so you'd be stupid not to.

Well the problem is not the price. It's the shop I'm getting it from. I called every shop around here and nobody has the circlip. So I ordered it from the shop closest to me and they still haven't gotten it in and I ordered it Monday. But this is the shops typical reputation for being slow on ordering things. I have heard countless stories and had my own personal experience. I was just wondering because I wanted to ride this weekend but it looks like no such luck.

Ha ha ha ha ha. That is some of the funniest stuff I have ever read. Don't underestimate the CR250!!!

2004 KX250 for $1300 - - Sounds like you found a damn good deal YZ 250 Rider. I paid $2,500 for my 04 CR250 and thought that I had scored.
