if you have the money it would cost to repair one of those 450's then buy one but if not just go with the 2 smoke i would personally go with the two smoke

This bike sings to me in my dreams.....too purty!! ![]() But on a serious note. Depends on what type of riding your doing. I have ridden most of them (besides the Suzuki) and the 450's are nice but since I ride a 2T I almost get bored cause of the way the power comes on. The 450's have alot of power but they also have engine breaking...which I'm not used to. Both bikes take a different riding styles and has their advantages and disadvantages. I think it's all personal choice. As far as maintenance, you will have to keep up on it or trouble will brew. Plan on purchasing a few extra air filters, lots of oil/filters and learn how to to use feeler gauges. Can't you tell I'm a little partial to premix?? -Kevin-

what kind of riding do you usually do? and what is your bike repair budget?? that i would think is a main factor between 2t and 4t

What do you ride now, and what kind of riding do you do?. That would help the rest of the gang with a good choice for you.

i have a yz 125 right now, but its boreing to ride now. i ride pretty much everything cept for dunes. maintence is not a problem for me, i have no problem tearing down a 4t or a 2t. it was exciting to ride my buddys 450f but it didnt have the snap that i was looking for. i have actually lost sleep deciding between the 2. grrrr

If you want snap in a 450, your gonna half to go RED bro. Yamaha did too much taming on their 450. On the other hand, the yz250 would be a good choice as well.

i think i gonna go with the 4t. kinda wrong forum, but whats some of the things i shoud ask the guy im gonna buy one off of. and whats some of the things i should look for and feel for when i test it out. i know what to look and feel for in a 2t, but i havent had much experience with the 4ts.

I would get a 250 two stroke and get a big bore kit to help you keep up wiht the 450's on the straights.

thats a good option also. but whats gonna happen when the greenies get their way and wipe the two stroke out of america. i have allready seen four stroke weedeaters...whats up with that? i dont know what the heck to do. i would much rather have a 2 stroke anyways.

You dont need to buy new, it think in 07 everyone still had a line of twostrokes. Plus if you racing, ITS A RACE BIKE! I wish they would understand that because we arnt like riding on the road everyday to get from home to work. We have a purpose built machine we use for compatition that only is run for a short time.
