Default mudding

I really want a dirtbike but I like to go mudding just wanted to know if dirtbikes do ok in mud or if I should get an atv.

If your idea of fun is sinking up to the handlebars....then you need to get a quad!!

well a dirtbike would do ok in mud not great but it could do it just keep on the gas and if you ever do go fender deep make sure you keep on the gas because mud and water will get into the exhaust system and really screw you up

i personally hate riding my dirtbike through large amounts of deep mud. but when i get on my quad and ride through the mud it completly diffrent. i love mud on the quad and hate mud on the dirtbike

buy a new quad

I think that vid was more water than mud. I've gotten my bike stuck in mud that was about 1 inch below the swing arm. Once you start sinking, do NOT hit the gas...I learned that the hard way. You just sink further and pack your chain and wheel with mud. They aren't easy to get out, either. My chain and wheel was so packed with mud that it wouldn't turn...once I got the bike out of the mud.
Then there is cleaning....I got my bike really muddy this weekend and it took over 3 hours to get it clean. When I used to ride quads with my cousins, we could powerwash the majority of them, so it didn't take long to clean them. I won't use a power washer on a dirt bike because it's too easy to force water into places where it should be. YMMV
If you're you are going to ride in mud a lot, I'd get a quad.
