Really... Sooo , you wouldnt particularly reccomend it against other more competitive 250f's on the track? Well i found a decent 06 sxf 250 and a 05 rmz 250, the suzuki only has 12 hours on it and i will ask how many are on the sxf. I know im going from bike to bike to bike to bike etc. But things are crazy around here adnd we keep missing bikes. oh and i know neither suspension is up to snuff, so i will be giving either bike a revalve by the sites suspension vendor. good idea? thanks again.

Thumbs up

Well for an mx only bike and the fact that you can find other some what better 250f's for the same price,no I wouldnt suggest it but it would still do you good.Get the best deal on the bike that is in the best shape,a neglected bike ent ganna stand up to a well maintaned taken care of bike. The ktm is better then the 05 rm-z,but if it is abused and the rm-z really only has 12 hours on it then go with that.Since the sx-f is used, try and get a test ride in,then you can decide if its right for you and if it feels in good shape,if it does then get it.Make sure you try the brakes, all gears, clutch, steering, idle and all the bearings.Make sure the suspension doesnt feel too spungy as well Good luck

Yeah the zook really only has 12 hours as he has an hour meter on it and it looks beautiful!! ive only seen a picture of the sxf after an offroad ride. The owner never used it for mx. What do you guys think of this sites supension revalve? anyone used it. If you read it really only sounds like he rebuilds and dialsin the clickers for you but i dont know...

Look at all your options, you wont need a suspension upgrade on either bikes, ride it before you even think of changing something.Check and see if the ktm is in good shape and if its not then get the rm-z,stock suspenion is fine unless you are a pro.Suspension companys have come a long way since the olden days.Todays showroom floor mx bikes are like yesterdays factory bikes,so they will handle almost anything you throw at them.

I totally agree with you , But the kids (my friends) im racing against have some pretty deadly bikes. My closest friend has an extremely modded 05 crf250r, MY other friend also has a modded 05 crf250r, my other friend has a 08 kx250f and another us sponsored and just got an 09 yz250f. so i think ill go with the ktm so im not in the big 4 like everyone else...
