Moto For enduro

I have currently been looking at CR125's,Tm 125s, Suzuki rm125s and Ktm 125s etc but i was just interested as to know weather i can use a CR125 or ktm SX125 etc on enduro or will it just spill its guts? and if not what would be needed in such models so that its capable to do it?

Im Mainly look at the ktm SX125s as they seem to be a bit cheaper than the EXC but will it cost me in the long run anyway?

Cheers all !

Aza

Technically you could use a CR or an RM 125, the problem is going to be flywheel mass and the ability to have a little low end grunt. You can add weight to the Flywheel and re-gear the bike adding teeth to the rear sprocket.

The cost really depends what you want to get into it with and what you think the bike needs and your riding style.

lots of the enduro type events here have become all out races in the woods. I would go and look at what the guys winning the class you would be in are riding before you plunk down much money on anything. that is providing you want to be or are planning on being competitive. i like 125's but when you try to use one to go slow, gear down, add the flywheel etc you are making some tradeoffs. some like that if the course is either all slow, or higher speeds where gearing at the sprockets can be worked out. if however you are going to courses where there is quite a bit of slow clutch burning stuff with some fast stuff thrown in like lots of events i am familiar with have, then you may be better off to buy the exc or plan on changing some internal gears.
