Cool Decision time!

My youngest boy races a yz 85 big wheel, and next year he can start riding in the junior lites class as well, now he has turned 13. I was going to get him a 125 for that class, but i also have 2 other boys who race senior lites on kx 250 f's 08 models. So rather than buy a 125 i've been toying with giving the oldest boys 250f to the youngest, and get a new 09 250f for the oldest boy. What i'm worried about is the young bloke riding both the 2 stroke and the 4 stroke, which are 2 different styles of riding. Will he adapt to both you think or loose it He's getting really good on the 85 now and i'd hate him to loose it from riding the 4 stroke

I say do the 125 to help him transition better to the 250f's. Also, you can pick up an angry sewing machine dirt cheap right now and the oldest won't be able to brag about the new bike he just got......

I second that.Plus the 125 will teach him how to go fast on a underpowered (compared to kxf) bike and once he steps up to a 250f he will probably be faster then his older brothers with the new found extra power.125's are GREAT learning bikes and help big time on shift points and learning where to find that extra speed on the track.Thats why I practice on my 125,but it is my sisters now so I dont get to ride it a whole lot

I think you should go with the 125 as well. There is a mass amount of people that still enjoy 2-strokes for their powerband and speed. And in a couple of years you could get on a KTM 2-stroke with EFI.
