best dirtbike for me!?!?

Hey i want to get a 2 stroke and i dont now about them much i am 5'0 5'1 and around 100 lbs and still growing. im 14 y/o and trail ride but planing to race this new year im leaning towards the kx 100 or yz 85 but i know their other ones that might be better for me. HELP ME OUT WHICH BIKE IS BEST FOR ME?


btw i never race so this will be my first year ,i ride a crf 80f 4 stroke since May

kx 100 or yz 85 or cr 85 or kx 85 or ktm 85 or rm 85 or just wait for a 125 or crf 150r?

Have you considered a CRF150?

5'1" is a tad short to be on a 125. I started racing 125s at 14, but I was around 5'4" - I had trouble on flat ground. It taught me not to crash, though!

if your gonna get a 2 stroke you gotta get a 85. your body type isnt ready for a 125. im a foot taller than you and i just started on my yz125. but if i was you i would get the crf150.(4stroke). one of my freinds has that bike. he has never had a problem. also its a great trail bike.

if you can ride and ride well, the crf150r is the best bike for the 85 class, its got better bottom end, faster in general on straightaways and it gets better every year

KX 100 would be pretty nice for you. I've compared my cousin's 100 to my 125, and it doesn't come too far behind the 125 in terms of power. Frame would be just right for you though.

i'm 17, about 5'11" and weigh like 155. i just bought a used yz125 and would say it's perfect size for me. i don't have much riding experience but from the expressions on my buddies faces after trying out my bike(both experienced and ride 4 stroke 250s), going from a 4 stroke to 2 stroke will really open your eyes. i would say a 2 stroke would not be great if you continued to trail ride, whereas a 4 stroke will work both on the trail and track.
i'm telling you right now unless you ride like an old lady driving a car, or never make mistakes, the powerband will bite you in the *** at some point in time, but on the otherhand, it is a thrill like no other(from my limited experience) and i'm hopelessly addicted.

KX500....just put a lowering link on it....you'll be fine......

Try and find a used 85 or 100 and be done with it. Within a year or 2 when you have a growing spurt you can sell it and transfer over to a 250f or 125.

I can totally relate to this! The first time the wife (5'1) raced my CR250 I called her the "bike jockey" You could never tell if she was standing or sitting...and yes it tought her NOT to fall over or crash!
