Default 2nd bike

this will be my second bike but i havent rode in ah 4 yrs...

im 5'7 135#

probably 2 stroke since its lighter

and 125 more than enough power for my size.

was wondering wat reasonable prices r on used bikes?

'05 = 25-3500 '04 = 2-3000 '03 = 15-2500 '02down = 1500down
hope these prices aren't wishful thinking

The 05s and up are extremely light, handle incredibly, and have the smoothest power you will find on a 125. Just amazing bikes IMO

Is it the F or the R model? If it's the R i would look into it.

The 150r is a great bike. Excellent power, very light, turns VERY well, stock suspension is pretty good. Just all around fun.

I believe the 150f is a trail bike, two very different machines.

Of the two bikes you posted, the '03 looks cleaner. I think they went to a 5 speed tranny in '02..the 6 speed was really nice. I would imagine the price of bikes is a bit higher due to your location. I just sold a very clean '01 for $1700 and it killed me to do it. I feel like I practically gave the thing away, but really, that was probably a bit higher than I should have got. It's just that I refused to budge on the price.

Personally, I'd go for the 125. You're probably looking at replacing top-ends a little more frequently, but they're cheap and easy to do.

thanks 4 the info didnt realize the big difference. but thte 150r would be good for my size, thats good to know, if i come across 1.

wat years were the 150r available? most of the bikes are labeled crf150, would this be an F or could it still be a R?

Looked it up available '07 and '08 is this right?

If you were going to ride an R all the time, I would imagine you'd need some taller bars on it.

Also, just to give you an idea, the 150r's are going for around $3500 here. The other thing to consider is maintanence, there's a good chance you'll be on the gas pretty hard on that bike. I'm not sure how often you'd need to adjust the valves. You could pick up a 125 fairly reasonable and like I said, top ends are cheap and easy to do.

the 02-04 yz's had 5 speeds, all other years are six. cr's have been 5 speeds since '98 I think.
