Default WHICH 250F FOUR STROKE...

I am 14 years old, about to ride the 250f class, but I am trying to decide which bike to get Honda CRF,Kawasaki KXF,Suzuki RMZ, or Yamaha YZF, but I'm not sure. Also I had a Kawasaki KLX125 and ridden a Kawasaki KX85....

You did not mention if you are buying new or used. If new, pick a color and make sure to change the oil every 4-6 hours and clean your air filter every ride.

If you are buying used, I would not buy any thing other than a YZF 03 or newer

I would say if your buying a new one what ever one looks nicer and better to you, all the 2009 bikes are amazing so what ever you going to pick is going to be fine..

If you go used, I would go with the Yami like already said. They are probably the most reliable of the bunch. Honda probably has the best motor in terms of overall power but they are notorious for having valve problems. I have an '06 CRF250R and bought it used, blew up the motor 2 days after I got it, replaced everything from the crank up and haven't had any issues....yet. (knocking on wood). I change my air filter religiously and change engine oil every other ride, tranny oil every 10-15 hours. Maintenance is key but the bottom line is if you want a high-performance 4-stroke, you better be willing to shell out some good money to keep the high-wear items like valves/top end replaced or it will end up costing you big bucks when something fails. 4 stroke bikes cost more to operate, plain and simple.

I know where there is a CRF250 with top of the line mods on it Devol brake coolers, PRP suspension, awesome port job... you name it, its got it... $2900

But I would go with what YOU feel god on. We can sit here all day and tell you honda, yamaha or whatever, but in the end, YOU the rider needs to feel good on it. Take some for a test ride and go from there...

Thumbs up

I know which one not to get, honda.Honda recomends you replace the swiss cheese piston every 30 hours and they enjoy blowing up.New,get what you think looks cooler.Used, get whatever you can that is in best shape in your price range 05 and up as long as it isnt red.
