Hey everyone! This is my first motox forum, and I'm happy to be here. My names Jackson and I own a 99 Yamaha YZ250 and I live in Mid TN. Looking forward to being apart of the family, haha. Oh and if anyone can help me with any info about how to jet my bike it would be great, as I've never done it before. It has a FMF Gold Series fatty pipe, Turbine Core II silencer. I'm running 32:1 and still acting up and the plugs are getting oil all over them. Thanks!

Welcome to As far as your jetting... - you need to know what the stock jetting is and compare it to what is in the bike. During those years Yamaha jetted their bikes on the rich side to help prevent people from seizing them regularly. - what is your elevation where you are?...higher elevation with require leaner jetting. What brand/type of oil are you using? Dino oils don't seem to burn as clean as synthetic oils. - Is your air filter clean?...retricted air flow can result in a rich condition - Is your plug the proper heat range?...to cold a plug can cause fouling

Without knowing the answers to the questions I would say switching to 40:1 is not going to help. That will actually make the bike run richer.

Oh guess you didn't see the answers. They were up there just italicized and hard to see. I but them in bold now as well. Thanks for the help so far tho.
